Most often brides come in with a clear idea of what they like, or what they don’t like. They know that they like lace or a sweetheart neckline or a ball gown or something simple…or not.
I always encourage all shoppers to try on things that they thought they didn’t like or never imagined themselves in. Sometimes this proves their theory about what is right and what is not but this is a big aha moment. It truly allows you to see-not just envision-what looks good on you, what you like and most importantly what you don’t. The process of elimination is key, really ruling out what you don’t like, even if you haven’t found the right one.
If you don’t really see yourself as a princess you should still just try that pouf of a ball gown, you never know! And if you are self conscious and don’t imagine that trumpet silhouette-just give it a whirl…curves are beautiful and you may just surprise yourself.
